The most visual area of our body is our face. With time, lines and sagging occur on the face. In particular, excess skin under the chin, lines in front of the ears and drooping of the cheeks are disturbing. The aim of facelift is to provide a younger and more vigorous appearance.
The aim of facelift is to return the sagging tissues to their former place and to remove the excess skin. Sometimes a single operation may be insufficient for this. In classical facelift surgery, the facial skin and underlying muscle structure (SMAS) are stretched to the sides and the excess in front of the ear is removed. But if the main factor is drooping of the cheeks, mid-face lift surgery can also be performed during lower eyelid surgery. In mid-face lift surgery, the tissues on the cheeks are pulled up. Sometimes facelift surgery alone is not enough for the ideal result. In such cases, neck lift, eyelid aesthetics or fat injection may be required. A holistic approach is required for facial rejuvenation.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia. The duration may vary depending on the additional attempts to be made. Since the traces will be hidden in front of the ear or on the lower eyelid, they do not attract attention. Swelling on the face may last 2-3 weeks. Depending on the operation performed, it may be necessary to wear a bandage for 1-2 weeks. Generally, it is possible to return to business life after 15-20 days.
